What’s better than tea and a good book? Add a little mystery!

Join us at Once Upon A Tea for an afternoon designed for book lovers. Browse our Blind Date with a Book exchange, where each wrapped book offers a surprise waiting to be discovered, then put your literary knowledge (and a little luck) to the test with Bookish Bingo for a chance to win prizes.

Whether you’re hoping to find your next favorite read, meet fellow readers, or simply enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a cup of tea, this event is the perfect excuse to slow down and celebrate the joy of books.

How the book exchange works: Bring a wrapped, gently used book to swap (optional but encouraged!), complete with a few clues about what’s inside—no titles or covers, just enough to spark curiosity. Then choose a mystery book to take home and enjoy the surprise.

Come solo or bring a friend—we can’t wait to spend an afternoon talking books, sharing recommendations, and discovering new stories together.
