USO Walking Tour of Esslingen

Take a trip back through time in one of Baden-Wurttemberg’s best preserved old cities on this 90-minute tour. Stroll across Germany’s second-oldest bridge, where we’ll learn about how trade in the middle ages made Esslingen the wealthiest city in the region. Learn all about Esslingen’s beautifully-preserved half-timbered homes, and why they were so popular. And visit Medieval fortifications, often necessary to defend prosperous Esslingen from its jealous neighbors.
