October 2024 - Volunteer of the Month - M Horton

Introducing M Horton, USO Stuttgart’s October 2024 Volunteer of the Month!

M joined the USO Stuttgart family in August of 2024 as a UMGC Social Work Intern. Since that time, despite taking multiple classes for her degree, M has created new programs for the center, supported front desk operations, and so much more! M’s positive attitude and willingness to jump into any task combined with her infectious laugh, makes her a wonderful addition to our team! She has been coordinating with our Youth Council at Stuttgart High School to plan events to support the military youth in this community. M has planned and conducted a morale drop to the single soldiers in the barracks. Her unique ability to identify areas of need in the community has been incredibly valuable in ensuring USO Stuttgart is serving the mission!

M is everyone’s biggest cheerleader and will always show up with a smile and kind words. Thank you, M, for all that you do! We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
