Q4 Volunteer of the Quarter | Rene Maldonado

We are excited to recognize Rene as our USO Stuttgart Volunteer of the Quarter!

Rene has been an important part of the USO Stuttgart gaming community since August 2023, bringing his passion for tabletop gaming and dedication to every session. Through Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and Patch Tabletop Gaming, Rene has impacted more than 2,500 community members, helping create a welcoming gaming community for players of all ages and experience levels.

As a lead Dungeon Master, Rene dedicates nearly every other Saturday to guiding players through D&D campaigns, mentoring new and experienced gamers, and welcoming players no matter where they are in a campaign. His advocacy for the program has helped it grow and remain a consistent part of the USAG Stuttgart community, even as PCS transitions bring frequent changes. He also supports fellow Dungeon Masters with advice and guidance and steps in to support Patch Tabletop Gaming when needed.

More recently, Rene has stepped into assisting with Magic: The Gathering, helping teach new players the fundamentals and ensuring everyone has an opportunity to learn and play.

Rene has shared that one of his biggest reasons for volunteering is to help younger generations feel confident in their creativity. His dedication, mentorship, and willingness to step up have helped strengthen USO Gaming and create a community where everyone has a seat at the table.
