February 2022 Volunteer of the Month - Mildred Lonergan

Meet Mildred Lonergan, USO Stuttgart’s February Volunteer of the Month!

Mildred joined the USO Stuttgart family in October of 2021. Mildred’s bright smile and themed outfits for any occasion always keep us upbeat in the Center! Mildred started her volunteer journey grilling hot dogs for our local retirees. Dressing for each and every holiday complete with themed mask, Mildred has cooked in the kitchen for our holiday meals, helped at the front desk in center, entertained kids while they waited to see Santa, popped popcorn, and baked treats! She even stepped up as a lead volunteer to plan and run our Super Bowl Tailgate Party! Mildred’s flexibility and desire to serve make her a valuable part of our USO Stuttgart family. Our holiday events and Center would have been lacking without her stepping up to cover the front desk and run events! While Mildred has donated 175 hours to serve her community in just five short months, her outfits are definitely a highlight of every single moment.

We can always count on Mildred to support our community wherever and whenever we need her. We are so thankful that Mildred chose to join the USO Stuttgart family! Thanks for your dedication!
