Taste of the World: Brazil

Let’s take explore the cuisine of Brazil! Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world occupying half of the land mass of the South American continent, housing a population of 219 million. Around 60% of the Amazon Rainforest is in Brazil. Brazil has over 4,600 miles of coastline and has a border with every country in South America except for Chile and Ecuador. Brazilians love their fresh fruits and vegetables such as okra, coconuts corn and beans. Many traditional dishes contain beans, rice or manioc flour.

USAG Stuttgart’s Idalia Leza and USO volunteer Rose Muniz have volunteered to be our guides as we taste the different foods of Brazil. Come by USO Stuttgart in building 2915 starting at 11 am to join us on this culinary journey!
