July 2023 Volunteer of the Month - Maria Dates

Meet USO Stuttgart’s July 2023 Volunteer of the Month, Maria Dates!

Maria began volunteering in December of 2022 at the height of our holiday season! She has donated over 125 hours in 35 volunteer shifts in just 7 short months since then. Maria started out her volunteer career with her first shift wrapping gifts for our Single and Unaccompanied Holiday Dinner. She has helped organize and run our Game of Thrones days, helped us clean and organize the center, ran multiple cooking programs, helped at our Spring Egg Hunt, jumped in to hand out popsicles at 4th of July, and helped us at the front desk! Maria steps up when we need help and does not hesitate when supporting the staff, fellow volunteers, and the community. Her kind heart and bright smile will make your day! There is nothing Maria can’t do! We are so lucky to have her as part of the USO Stuttgart family!
