May 2023 Volunteer of the Month - Kymberlee Gilkey

Drumroll please! Meet Kymberlee Gilkey, USO Stuttgart’s May Volunteer of the Month!

Kymberlee had been a member of the USO Stuttgart volunteer family since November 2019. She has donated over 480 hours over 179 different volunteer shifts. Kymberlee started off her volunteer career with a bang, signing on as our lead volunteer for Story & Craft Time and starting our very popular military spouses crafting workshops! She finds fun books for our military kids to enjoy, plans a song and dance to go along with it, and tops off the event with a fun, messy craft… usually involving glitter. Ms. Kymberlee is super popular with our Story and Craft Time kiddos! Kymberlee always goes above and beyond for our military spouses as well. This month she planned a relaxing spa day for Military Spouse Appreciation Day with custom candle making, bath salts, and face masks. Kymberlee also shows up to help at events like the Spring Egg Hunt, Santa Paws, Thanksgiving Dinner, Back to School Picnic, and much more! Throughout her career as a volunteer, Kymberlee has seen lots of staff members and fellow volunteers PCS in and out of Stuttgart. She always ensures that our community continues to receive the best quality services and programs, no matter what. Kymberlee’s bright smile and themed outfits always leave a spot of sunshine wherever she goes. We are so grateful to have someone like Kymberlee on our team!
