Quarter 2 2023 Volunteer of the Quarter - Joanna Calahan

Join us in congratulating USO Stuttgart’s Volunteer of the Quarter, Joanna Calahan!

Joanna has been a USO volunteer since June 2022 and has already donated over 330 hours across 129 different volunteer shifts to support this amazing community. Joanna always finds time to give back to her community. Joanna’s efforts as a volunteer have allowed us to prepare and execute programs like Spring Egg Hunt, 4th of July, Family Amazing Race, Thanksgiving Feast, Halloween Trick or Treating, Coffee Connections, Month of the Military Childe Celebration, and much more. She helps to run the USO center desk, educate new volunteers, create pre-deployment morale kits, baking, cooking, and pretty much anything and everything you can think of. Recently, Joanna has stepped up to be lead volunteer for our volunteer Team Talks program, the Month of the Military Child Celebration, and the USO Reading Program! As a mentor and guide for new volunteers, Joanna’s passion for volunteering comes through in everything that she does. Joanna’s patience, kindness, and empathy make her invaluable to the USO Stuttgart team!
