Quarter 2 2022 Volunteer of the Quarter

Meet Kimberly Weber, USO Stuttgart’s Volunteer of the Quarter!

Kimberly started volunteering with USO Stuttgart a short five months ago in December of 2021 and has already accumulated over 220 volunteer hours over a record 71 shifts! She specifically sought out volunteering with USO Stuttgart as a way to serve her community. While she was interested in finding a job, after spending time in the center and meeting the community, Kimberly has decided that volunteering will be her full-time job! From helping around the holidays to standing out in the cold for events, this multi-talented volunteer does it all. Kimberly quickly trained to become a center representative volunteer and has been a huge asset in center. From her first shift running a craft station at Pictures with Santa, Kimberly has shown commitment and dedication to serving this community. Recently, Kimberly has recognized that as many of our lead volunteers begin to PCS, USO Stuttgart needs new talent to step up into those roles. And she is ready for it! Kimberly has become Lead Volunteer for our Hump Day Hot Dogs and Volunteer Team Talks programs. She has also taken charge of our Organizational Days, working with base organizations to coordinate USO support. Kimberly then recruits volunteers, plans (makes shopping lists, shops, cooks), and attends events to ensure our service members are supported to the highest standard. As if that was not enough, Kimberly has also taken on the task of tracking our center supplies and transforming the process into a digital framework. On a weekly basis, Kimberly inventories snacks and soda in the center to track usage patterns. She then lets staff know when supplies are needed, providing commissary order forms for the needed items. Kimberly is committed to ensuring that USO Stuttgart maintains the highest level of service for our community, in and out of center!

No matter your mood, Kimberly is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! Thank you for all that you do for the USO and our community!
