January 2022 Volunteers of the Month - Richard and Violet Horsley

Meet Richard and Violet Horsley, USO Stuttgart’s January Volunteers of the Month!

Violet & Richard began volunteering as a team this past August, during our biggest celebration of the year, Sun & Fun. You get a two for one deal with this couple and their bright personalities! This dynamic duo took on the task of posting our flyers around base for our huge summer event for their very first volunteer shift! Rick and Vi have come out to support events across all four bases, baked for our Giveaways, popped popcorn, cleaned and restocked the Center, grilled hot dogs for our retirees, and much, much more. Without their help with Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, we never would have gotten all of our turkeys and sides made. Rick and Vi’s willingness to help at any event or with any task makes them an invaluable part of the USO Stuttgart team! While they each have donated over one hundred volunteer hours since this summer, it is their banter and bright smiles that we look forward to every time they stop by the center!

No matter what we are planning, we can always count on Richard and Violet to provide support. We are so grateful that Rick and Vi have joined the USO Stuttgart family! Thanks for all of your hard work!
