November 2021 Volunteer of the Month - Stephen Pursley

Meet Stephen Pursley, USO Stuttgart’s November Volunteer of the Month!

Stephen hit the ground running when he began volunteering this past October. In just two months, Stephen racked up over 100 hours serving our military community in Stuttgart! Taking advantage of his skills in the kitchen, we quickly put Stephen to work preparing a delicious German meal for our Oktoberfest-themed Quarterly Lunch, grilling hot dogs and hamburgers for Organizational Days, and cooking up some delicious turkey for our annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Not only has he done amazing things in the kitchen, but Stephen also spends his free time helping out at the USO Center working behind the desk, pitching in during Deep Cleaning shifts, celebrating Birthdays, coming up with great ideas for community programs, dressing up in crazy costumes, and volunteering to lead programs when we need him most!

Not only has Stephen become a reliable member of our USO Stuttgart team, but he has also become a dear friend. We are so grateful to know Stephen and have him as part of the USO family. Thank you for everything, Stephen!
