April 2021 Volunteer of the Month - Lauren Bassichis

Congratulations to Lauren Bassichis, USO Stuttgart’s Volunteer of the Month for April!

With her powers of organization and extreme attention to detail, Lauren took on the big tasks in April. She alone counted and sorted over 11,000 stuffed eggs for USO Stuttgart’s Spring Egg Hunt! Lauren also re-imagined the DVD lending library (850+ DVDs!) in the center to make it much more visually appealing and accessible for our community. And then, as the icing on the cake, Lauren shared her hidden talent for napkin folding to make hundreds of “eagles” for an event! All this while still supporting USO programs by stuffing kits, preparing crafts, and helping to keep the center clean and tidy on a daily basis. No wonder her nickname is “Sassy Bassy!” Lauren definitely lives up to that reputation as she keeps everyone in her presence laughing with her latest and greatest Meme War. She is a joy to be around!

We are so thankful to know Lauren and have her as part of the USO Stuttgart family! Thank you, Lauren, for all you do!
