Fall 2020 Volunteer of the Quarter Dana Wilkins

Within hours of landing in Stuttgart, Major Dana Wilkins was sitting in the in-processing brief and upon hearing the USO Stuttgart brief, he immediately signed up to be a volunteer. One year later and over 108 hours donated, Dana is a huge part of the USO Stuttgart family. When Dana is not working, he can be found volunteering at USO Stuttgart.

Dana’s biggest contribution to USO Stuttgart is his positive, can-do attitude. He is always asking, “How can I help?” This quarter, he has stayed late several times to help with food preparation for upcoming programs and clean the kitchen. He helped USO Stuttgart staff rearrange office furniture. He assisted with Virtual Volunteer Orientation and shared his volunteer experiences with prospective volunteers. He helped with Story and Craft Time assisting little ones with their crafts. He covered the front desk when we needed it the most and provided excellent customer service to visitors.

Dana’s upbeat and outgoing personality is infectious and makes everyone feel welcome. He truly lives out the USO mission. We are so thankful Dana is a part of the USO Stuttgart family. Thank you, Dana, for your dedication to giving back to the USAG Stuttgart community.
