February 2020 Volunteer of the Month

Herzliche Glückwünsche! Please help us shout “Congratulations!” in as many languages as we can to Steve Parker. Steve began volunteering with us about 2 years ago. While helping at the center and with events, he saw a need in our community. People here are often trying to learn a new language and would like to practice using it. This is how our Language Learners weekly class began. Each Thursday afternoon people gather at USO Stuttgart with Steve to have conversations in Japanese, Spanish, French and German. It gives our community a judgement free zone to practice a language they are trying to learn or don’t get the opportunity to use very often. Steve even has booklets for attendees that allow them to track their progress. No matter what language we say it in, we certainly appreciate Steve. We are thankful he has chosen to dedicate his time, language skills and talents to being the force behind the forces. We are happy to announce that he is our USO Stuttgart February 2020 Volunteer of the Month. Toutes nos félicitations! #BeTheForce
